If success were guaranteed by simply using SEO or opening a Facebook page for our business, then we'd all be multi-millionaires! It just ain't that simple. Instead what I'm suggesting is a combination of tools and strategies, and using them all together. The bonus: all businesses using these tools and strategies are local independent businesses, freelancers, non-profits and community based. As a community we are stronger together.
What were your searches this morning? No matter what they were, understand that on the other side of those searches -- on the websites you and I landed on -- there's a website owner (a person or an entity) with the same goals as you and I. If you were searching for a few products you were interested in, did you stay on the site for a while or leave? Did you read about that business on social media? How many of the 10, 000 + businesses in the Quinte and Central Hastings region did you read about today? Why? We've gotta give people a reason not only to come and visit, but to stay for a while, maybe come back later, and then ultimately (hopefully) make a purchase. As a community, we can bring businesses and consumers a reason to stay a while! Sure, we want to get your business found but we also want to help your neighbour, your ally and your competition, but only if their local.
We are trying to build a complete business directory of the Quinte and Central Hastings region. Well, helping each individual community grow. We need you to do that. Add your business today, post regularly, take advantage of all of the free tools while we are in lockdown. I always say "Community over competition". Add your business today.
